I was told to fly my service dog in cargo for the very first flight. They tried to charge me $200. This was two hours before the flight from Connecticut to Texas. They stated I wasn’t getting on the plane if I didn’t pay it! I asked for a supervisor (SRO) and one came…. that is 30 minutes AFTER the flight departed! Seriously doubt I’ll ever fly American again! This in 2015. In 1995 they tried to deny me boarding with my service dog whom I had for a few years on a business trip. Guess what, I was working for American Airlines. Imagine that! I was able to finally get on that flight with my peers and the flight attendant approached me close to landing and said she heard about my experience, apologized, and gave me a big bottle of champagne! Coming home from the same trip, they tried to prevent me from boarding again with the service dog. Luckily that same FA was deadheading back and got me on that flight! Good grief these people. On my encounter in 2015 I filled a complaint with the DOJ and their attorney found American violated my rights as a person with a disability traveling with a service dog on every violation I accused them! I will NEVER fly American again! EVER!! To service dog owners, all complaints involving the airlines and your service dog are not mandated by the ADA but rather by the ACAA (Air Carrier’s Access Act). Have an attorney file your complaint for you! If you go straight to the DOJ, you will most likely not find an attorney to help you! FYI!!!

They all fit in a small 10Lx6Hx 8W soft cooler. It would fit under the seat. Can I bring them as carry on?

Boeing is a competitor. Boeing has 707, 727, 737, 747, 757, and so on. Different configurations and advancements are delineated by a number after the main one, such as Boeing 737- 200, Boeing 737-300, Boeing 737-400, and so on. Just FYI!

Make your reservations then call AA to reserve your animal, they allow a certain number of pets on a flight. Bring updated records stating the health of your pet. You have to check in at the counter, let them know you have reserved a spot. They’ll confirm, ask you to pay $125.00 then you’re all set to go!
