Hi Shirley,
The Fair Housing Act covers the vast majority of housing in the country. If they are claiming they are no covered by the FHA (there are definitely exemptions to who is covered), please call your local HUD branch and confirm what they are saying is accurate. It is a free service meant to prevent housing discrimination.

I would like to get one and this apartment will let me, but will others? What is my recourse if denied? Report? To whom? Do you know the section/article in the ADA that prevents this? (I realize you said no, above, they cannot) Flying still applies?

Which stipulates that I live i a house that has no more than 4 rooms occupied. Why 4 rooms? Would Certapet letter be accepted in 5 rooms or more occupied. It seems unfair and why do I need a housing letter when it does no apply to me?
